Qualifications:
Education:
GL-05: Completion of a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.
GL-07: One full year of graduate-level education or Superior Academic Achievement.
Field of Study:
Major in physical education.
Experience:
GL-05: A minimum of three years of general experience, with at least one year equivalent to the GL-04 level.
This experience should provide insight into the physical and psychological aspects of individual and team sports, as well as the structure, objectives, and organization of recreational or competitive sports.
Examples of qualifying experience include:
Demonstrated knowledge of physical education specialist responsibilities.
Experience in roles such as athletic director, administrator, or coach within educational, community, or corporate sports programs.
Experience as an umpire, official, or manager of individual or team sports events.
GL-07: At least one year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and complexity to the GL-05 grade level.
This experience must showcase the ability to plan, supervise, manage, or execute a sports program encompassing various individual and team sports.
Examples of qualifying experience include:
Experience in organizing team sports, activities, and tournaments.
Experience in developing and overseeing the daily operations of a recreation program, primarily focusing on organizing and directing participants.
Experience in imparting the skills necessary for participation, including teaching techniques and rules of sports to participants, officials, and umpires within a recreational framework.
Combination of Education and Experience:
GL-05, GL-07: A combination of successfully completed post-high school education and relevant experience may be considered.
This experience must have equipped you with the specific qualifications to perform the primary duties of this position as outlined above.
If applicable, credit will be given for both paid and unpaid experience.To receive appropriate credit, you must provide the actual time (such as the number of hours worked per week) spent in relevant activities.
