The Senior Concrete Operations Manager is a key member of the AMI Construction Inc. team, overseeing the efficient execution of concrete work to meet company production schedules and quality specifications. This role requires complex problem-solving skills, strong client and colleague interaction skills, and the ability to work with a firm yet considerate disposition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage crews to ensure they are focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Confirm crew members are performing work to specification and schedule.
  • Identify concrete mixes and determine required equipment, tools, and procedures.
  • Ensure the job site is cleaned properly.
  • Verify that adequate time has been allowed for curing.
  • Provide solutions to any issues that arise; communicate to the Superintendent when applicable.
  • Physically review jobsites after work completed for quality, issues, and concerns; provide solutions and communicate to the Superintendent when applicable.
  • Communicate with customers prior to the start of the project, including confirming customer preparation for the work to begin.
  • Clear lots of vehicles, structures, equipment, etc.
  • Turn off irrigation systems.
  • Contact tow companies in advance.
  • Review maps to ensure customers understand work flow.
  • Obtain customer contacts, both on-site and general.
  • Organize and manage weekend work, including ordering materials, logistics, maintenance, and outside services.
  • Coordinate between other crews, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Monitor Google Calendar to manage completed, in-process, and upcoming jobs.
  • Read and implement architectural plans and specifications (application rates, grades, slope, drainage, etc.).
  • Instruct crew members professionally to relay expectations and motivate them.
  • Work alongside crew members and assist in all aspects of applications.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge with the management team and informed of any changes.
  • Respond to internal and external requests and provide high-quality support to customers and colleagues.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism with clients and establish a positive rapport with every contact.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to operate concrete-related machinery (e.g., curb and gutter machine).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a foreman in concrete forming, placing, and finishing.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
