Job Overview

The Reliability Operations Manager is a key position at Smurfit Westrock, responsible for leading the maintenance team to achieve business objectives. This role requires a strong background in maintenance and management, with a focus on optimizing preventative maintenance and promoting a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
  • Lead the reliability and maintenance department, supervising team members and promoting career development.
  • Create and implement metrics to identify continuous improvement needs and performance management issues.
  • Manage the reliability and maintenance procedure system and documentation.
  • Ensure inventory levels are adequate and optimum to meet business needs.
  • Work with Department Managers to understand production schedules and priority lines.
  • Coach and mentor reliability team members and support team member career development.
  • Ensure accountability and discipline are applied consistently across all shifts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred.
  • 5+ years of management experience in maintenance, preferably in a Lean or TPM environment.
  • Experience in managing complex equipment installations and capital management (P&L and capital budgets).
  • Proficiency in CMMS, JDE, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems required.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum
