Job Title: Culinary Department Head
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and skilled Culinary Department Head to join our team at Bazaar Mar by José Andrés. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the culinary department in achieving high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage all aspects of culinary operations, including menu development, inventory management, and staff supervision.
- Work closely with the executive team to ensure seamless execution of menu items and exceptional guest experiences.
- Maintain high levels of food safety and sanitation standards, adhering to JAG policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, reduce waste, and optimize profitability.
- Schedule and coordinate daily operations, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting deadlines.
- Collaborate with the training team to develop and execute comprehensive training programs for culinary staff.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A strong background in culinary arts, preferably with experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and driving business results.
- A competitive salary of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
