As a key member of our operating room team, you will be responsible for preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, maintaining aseptic techniques, and providing comfort and support to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and caring for pre-operative patients, ensuring their skin is prepared for surgery in accordance with hospital standards.
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations that could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
  • Provide comfort and support to pre-operative patients by demonstrating sensitivity to patient care and privacy.
  • Transport patients to and from the Operating Room suite and position them according to the type of surgery.
  • Identify and care for biological specimens and prepare the Operating Room by setting up tables, instruments, and supplies according to the type of case.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of the Surgical Technology program or an accredited LVN/LPN program required.
  • 2 or more years of experience preferred.
  • BLS required.
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.
