Registered Nurse - Labor/Delivery - Variable Shift

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients of all ages in the Labor/Delivery department. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients based on comprehensive assessments and nursing diagnoses.

• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel in accordance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act, ensuring patient safety and optimal care delivery.

• Implement measures to promote a safe environment for patients and others, and accurately administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and unit activities in accordance with hospital standards.

• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Required Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the State of Texas

• BLS certification

• Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire
