Job Title: Ring Fabricator III

Senior Aerospace, Jet Products is seeking a skilled Ring Fabricator III to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and tending to machinery that bends and expands metal structural shapes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and tend to machinery that bends and expands metal structural shapes.
  • Adjust and calculate machine setup from written work instructions to account for material thickness, bend radius, and circumference.
  • Examine, inspect, and measure materials and finished products to verify conformance with written specifications.
  • Monitor machine operation and temperature to detect malfunctions and ensure product conforms to written specifications.
  • Feed metal material through rolling mechanisms or start, control, and monitor feeding mechanism.
  • Monitor and manipulate controls to adjust and regulate machine and speed mechanism.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment and ensure all machine safety equipment is in use prior to machine operation.
  • Perform three or more operation methods involving ring fabrication, including rounding, grinding, forming, heat treating, expanding, and/or flash welding.
Requirements:
  • Ability to read, understand, and calculate necessary information from written instructions.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, or templates.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including flash welding, MIG/TIG welding, heat treat furnaces, metal rounding, and metal expanding.
  • Ability to monitor and control machine operation.
  • Ability to move, install, position, and handle material, including hot parts.
  • Ability to quickly move hands together with arm to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Vocational training is a plus.
  • 2 years of similar work experience.
  • Experience in welding and metal fabrication preferred.
