Position Overview:
The IT Specialist plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the technological systems within our organization. This position ensures that our team members have the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively while safeguarding the integrity of the company's critical data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical assistance for customized production applications.
- Serve as the primary resource for inquiries related to hardware and software.
- Support scanning and printing operations for all team members.
- Assist in the execution of system upgrades and maintain security protocols.
- Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and wireless networks.
- Conduct proactive system monitoring to identify, escalate, and resolve issues.
- Document processes and workflows effectively.
- Coordinate the setup of hardware, operating systems, and software.
- Train end users on various hardware and software applications.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized training or certification.
- Technical certifications or relevant experience in hardware, programming, application support, and operations are preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field; help desk experience is advantageous.
- Minimal travel may be required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Windows Server, MSSQL, and Windows 10 Professional.
- Understanding of basic networking principles and client/server architecture.
- Familiarity with wireless networking.
- Experience with Visual Basic and macro creation is a plus.
- Experience supporting the Office 365 suite.
- Knowledge of VMware ESXI 6.0 and greater, and vCenter 6.0 and greater.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams is beneficial.
- Experience with Raspberry Pi devices is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Commitment to supporting the team and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Ability to lead and participate in change initiatives as needed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
