About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Optometrist to join our comprehensive eye care team at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.

Responsibilities
  • Provide primary vision care, including comprehensive vision testing, diagnostics, emergency care, and disease management.
  • Work collaboratively with Ophthalmologists to provide expert care and referrals.
  • Contribute to a team of 7 Optometrists and 9 Ophthalmologists, dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in eye care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Optometry.
  • Residency training preferred.
  • 3+ years' experience working in a group practice, preferably with Ophthalmologists and exposure to medically complex patient populations.
  • Ability to obtain a professional optometrist license in the state of Washington.
  • NBEO certification required.
  • Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority.
  • Current Basic Life Support certification.
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with eye care software.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work in a busy group practice.
