The Role

At BioSpace, Inc., we are dedicated to advancing the field of cancer vaccine research and development. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Shared Antigen Cancer Vaccine Development to lead our efforts in this critical area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the discovery and development of shared antigen cancer vaccines from concept to clinic. This will involve working closely with our cross-functional teams to identify and validate novel targets, design and execute preclinical studies, and advance programs through IND-enabling proof-of-biology data sets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of scientists to design and execute preclinical studies to identify and validate novel shared antigen targets.
  • Collaborate with our cross-functional teams to advance programs through IND-enabling proof-of-biology data sets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify and prioritize novel shared antigen targets for vaccine development.
  • Manage program deliverables and timelines, and coordinate cross-functional teams to efficiently generate IND-enabling data sets.
  • Present team findings at internal and external meetings in the form of scientific abstracts, posters, presentations, or manuscripts.
Requirements
  • PhD in biology, immunology, virology, or related areas of study.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of immune oncology discovery/drug development experience after postdoctoral training.
  • Record of innovation and research accomplishments in translating cancer therapeutics from preclinical to clinical setting.
  • Substantial experience in design and execution of early stage research program(s) to identify and validate novel targets in immune-oncology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience discovering and developing mRNA-based cancer therapeutics from ideation to First in Human.
  • Familiarity with emergent and current standards of care to help define treatment settings, rational combinations.
