Energy Efficiency Outreach Lead Job Description

Resource Innovations is seeking an experienced Energy Efficiency Outreach Lead to join our team in Chicago, IL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing outreach activities for utility-sponsored energy efficiency programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify potential projects and recruit buildings for retro-commissioning programs.
  • Deliver effective sales presentations and respond to questions and inquiries from industry professionals.
  • Network and partner with trade allies, utility representatives, and key industry contacts to identify potential projects and opportunities.
  • Develop and propose energy efficiency projects based on an understanding of business operation costs.
  • Conduct training seminars to educate stakeholders on utility program logistics and new developments in the marketplace.
  • Conduct market research to identify and target high-potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain individual and team strategies for reaching sales, program targets, and other business-related objectives.
  • Establish and maintain professional client relationships, including identifying and anticipating client needs and proposing solutions.
  • Maintain an active project pipeline to ensure goals and objectives are consistently met.
  • Promptly and accurately address client concerns to ensure problem resolution and promote long-term productive relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Four or more years of experience in outreach, sales, account management, business management, or project management.
  • Two or more years of experience in the energy efficiency or renewables industry is a plus.
  • Background in marketing and communications for technical-based, engineering companies and/or knowledge of energy efficiency programs is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate, counsel, and sell concepts at all levels of an organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior time management and organizational capabilities, including the ability to deliver on deadlines and manage a high-volume workload.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with other functional groups and communicate effectively with all levels of the company and external business partners.
