Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key member of the Landmark Properties team, responsible for overseeing the maintenance program and preserving the value of our assets. This role requires a customer-centered individual with strong organizational and leadership skills to manage a team of maintenance technicians and groundskeepers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead maintenance staff meetings and emergency meetings as needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant work environment
  • Ensure accurate time and attendance reporting
  • Direct the maintenance operations of the property, including daily inspections and implementation of preventative maintenance programs
  • Develop and manage the annual budget for maintenance categories
  • Order necessary supplies and parts within budget constraints
  • Evaluate and implement cost-saving strategies
  • Assign tasks, supervise, and evaluate maintenance staff and vendors
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and parents
  • Develop a sense of community among residents and staff
  • Maintain active communication with residents and parents
  • Follow up on completed maintenance requests to ensure resident satisfaction
  • Be available on weekends and after hours for emergency calls
Requirements
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and vendors
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety protocols
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
Work Environment
  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Typical noise level in the work environment is moderate
Physical Demands
  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to finger, handle, or feel
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
