Position: Cardiac Imaging Specialist (Per Diem)
Join our dedicated team at Interventional Cardiology Medical Group, where we prioritize patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient interviews to gather medical histories and confirm consent documentation.
- Administer and interpret 12-lead EKG stress tests with precision.
- Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, while establishing Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access.
- Prepare and deliver pharmacological stress agents, ensuring accurate dosage and adherence to safety protocols.
- Implement Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) measures as directed by the supervising physician.
- Evaluate Nuclear Medicine images, ensuring accuracy and effective communication with physicians regarding test results.
- Collaborate with management and the Nuclear Technician Lead on training initiatives for new and existing staff.
- Complete necessary documentation and manage daily administrative tasks using office equipment.
- Stay informed on best practices and compliance regulations within a Cardiology context involving nuclear technology.
- Oversee inventory management of medical supplies and coordinate the maintenance of equipment.
- Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
- Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Experience in emergency care or cardiac environments.
- California Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.
- Accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT.N).
- Experience with Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (ARRT. CT).
- Certification in Radiation Safety (NMTCB, RS).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Capability to stand for extended periods.
- Starting with a minimum of one day per week.
- Flexible per diem position with potential for additional days as needed.
