Job Overview

Position: Cardiac Imaging Specialist (Per Diem)

Join our dedicated team at Interventional Cardiology Medical Group, where we prioritize patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient interviews to gather medical histories and confirm consent documentation.
  • Administer and interpret 12-lead EKG stress tests with precision.
  • Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration, while establishing Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access.
  • Prepare and deliver pharmacological stress agents, ensuring accurate dosage and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Implement Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) measures as directed by the supervising physician.
  • Evaluate Nuclear Medicine images, ensuring accuracy and effective communication with physicians regarding test results.
  • Collaborate with management and the Nuclear Technician Lead on training initiatives for new and existing staff.
  • Complete necessary documentation and manage daily administrative tasks using office equipment.
  • Stay informed on best practices and compliance regulations within a Cardiology context involving nuclear technology.
  • Oversee inventory management of medical supplies and coordinate the maintenance of equipment.
Qualifications
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT).
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in emergency care or cardiac environments.
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification.
  • Accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT.N).
  • Experience with Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (ARRT. CT).
  • Certification in Radiation Safety (NMTCB, RS).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
Work Schedule
  • Starting with a minimum of one day per week.
  • Flexible per diem position with potential for additional days as needed.
