United Medical Imaging Healthcare is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our team in the Long Beach area.
We are a leading provider of quality healthcare, with 30 locations in Southern California, dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of our patients.
The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, a good understanding of providing superior patient care, and the ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers, and management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct ultrasound examinations using real-time and portable equipment, under the administrative direction of the Site Manager and the clinical direction of the Medical Director and Radiologist.
- Operate multiple imaging modalities, including Doppler and post-Doppler equipment.
- Assist with maintaining the radiology department, including performing additional tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited, certified AMA school of Ultrasonography.
- SPI Certification is required, ARDMS Certification is a plus.
- Successful completion of Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers is preferred.
- Experience in the use of Doppler and pulse Doppler is preferred.
- Current CPR and Venipuncture license.
- Demonstrate competency in the use of all applicable aspects of the CIS, RIS, and PACS.
- Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of clinical Ultrasound experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good understanding of providing superior patient care.
- Ability to interact effectively with doctors, patients, peers, and management.
