Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at TEKsystems. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical support to our healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures
  • Clean and maintain exam rooms to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients
  • Assist with instrument sterilization and ensure proper handling and storage of medical equipment
  • Complete disability and FMLA forms accurately and efficiently
  • Take prescription calls and communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
  • Prepare pre-op paperwork and ensure all necessary documents are completed
  • Pre-authorize and pre-certify procedures to ensure proper coverage and reimbursement
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
  • Provide phone triage and answer patient questions and concerns
  • Assist with CT scan setup and patient preparation
  • Order medical supplies and equipment as needed
  • Support surgery scheduling and preparation
  • Assist healthcare professionals with patient care and provide administrative support

Requirements:

  • Medical terminology knowledge and understanding of medical procedures
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately and efficiently
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
