Position Summary:

The Swimming Pool Project Supervisor at Magnolia Patio and Pool is tasked with organizing, overseeing, and coordinating the project and onsite personnel (daily communication regarding each active project is essential) to ensure timely completion, adherence to budget, and the quality of workmanship as specified. This role also involves acting as the representative of Magnolia Patio and Pool, striving to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction by surpassing expectations and fulfilling the company's contractual commitments through the efficient and profitable delivery of construction services. The responsibilities of the Swimming Pool Project Supervisor include, but are not limited to, the following:


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and foster effective working relationships with all project stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular meetings with homeowners and production managers to keep them informed about budget status and project progress.
  • Coordinate the activities of estimating, scheduling, purchasing, accounting, and operations departments related to project advancement.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of contract documents, general contracts, and subcontracts.
  • Facilitate pre-construction meetings with owners and relevant subcontractors to discuss project details prior to construction commencement.
  • Enhance our subcontractor network by recruiting high-quality contractors and training new subcontractors.
  • Negotiate optimal pricing with subcontractors while maintaining quality standards for the work performed.
  • Maintain accurate records of job costs, invoices, receipts, daily logs, and communications with clients.
  • Review specifications before construction to identify design flaws, impractical details, and potential code violations, and resolve them.
  • Order materials for projects promptly and ensure subcontractors have the necessary resources to perform their tasks, which may include personally delivering materials when feasible.
  • Manage materials and inventory to prevent theft or loss, returning unused materials for credit or repurposing them for future projects.
  • Regularly visit job sites to ensure work quality meets company and industry standards, including pre-work meetings with subcontractors and post-completion inspections.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of requisitions for subcontracts and change orders.
  • Send invoices for change orders and progress payments to clients.
  • Establish and maintain a project schedule that incorporates key dates for owner decisions, design information availability, material procurement, subcontractor lead times, and field installation.
  • Implement and uphold prescribed quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Organize and train onsite staff according to project requirements, ensuring all individuals understand their responsibilities.
  • Utilize skills to efficiently manage multiple projects.
  • Establish and maintain administrative procedures related to the project.
  • Be available for communication with workers or clients outside of standard business hours when work is ongoing.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to propose improvements.
  • High school diploma with some college education preferred.
