Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction projects for Highway Paving Operations, ensuring timely completion and quality results.
  • Oversee Paving Plant Production, Paving Crews, Trucking, and Materials Management for DOT Highway Construction Projects.
  • Maintain accurate records to certify work performed weekly, meeting project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project personnel to provide technical advice, resolve issues, and implement solutions.
  • Communicate directly with DOT personnel on project details, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Enforce and comply with Project and Company Safety Policy Requirements, prioritizing employee safety.
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience in Highway Construction, Asphalt Paving, Materials Production, or Engineering is preferred.
  • Strong personal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other software relevant to the highway heavy industry.
  • Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid and Heavy Job is preferred but not required.
  • Above-average math skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, learn on the job, and follow directions.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a good driving record are essential.
  • Must pass a urine drug test.
  • Position requires extensive summer travel, with frequent on-the-road assignments.
