Nuclear Medicine Technologist II Job Summary

At Houston Methodist, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to join our team. As a key member of our direct patient care team, you will be responsible for completing a variety of routine to complex nuclear medicine procedures of high difficulty. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, sound judgment, and exceptional patient care skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging and therapeutic interventions, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including sterile technique and radiation safety protocols.
  • Provide direct patient care, including positioning, physiology, and technical factors, to optimize image quality and patient experience.
  • Mentor and educate Nuclear Medicine Technologist I and students to build confidence in skills, knowledge, and abilities.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team to ensure seamless communication and patient safety.
Requirements
  • Three years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (NMTCB) or Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Tech (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
