Lead Maintenance Technician

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a technical leader, ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of building and equipment in the plant. This role involves coordinating preventive maintenance work orders, maintaining databases, and training and developing the Maintenance Technician workforce.
Key Responsibilities- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance as assigned by supervisor in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance schedule.
- Ensure proper set-up of production machines and ancillary equipment according to procedures and product specifications at the completion of assigned tasks.
- Adhere to plant policies/procedures, department EHS rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), ISO 9002 regulations, and Good Housekeeping procedures.
- Coordinate vendor and contractor activities.
- Transport hazardous waste to accumulation areas.
- Complete Annual Hazardous Waste (RCRA) refresher training.
- One-year certificate from college or technical school (machinist, engineering technology) preferred or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 4-5 years medical device manufacturing related experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience preferred.
- Ability to provide technical leadership to personnel in the assigned area.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees in the organization.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions.
