Director of Health and Wellness

At Discovery Commons at Wildewood, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Director of Health and Wellness to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring that our community follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
Responsibilities:- Clinical Care Compliance: Ensure that our community adheres to all relevant laws and regulations, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our residents.
- Trend Analysis and Improvement: Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, developing and implementing improvement plans as needed.
- Partnerships and Collaboration: Partner with the Administrator and other team members to maintain resident and team member health and safety.
- Pharmaceutical Services: Collaborate with our pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to our residents.
- Clinical Expertise: Provide clinical expertise to licensed nurses, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care.
- Resident Assessment and Service Planning: Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the assessment and service plan process, documenting changes in health care status.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with residents' families and responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Scheduling and Supplies: Schedule clinical staff on a monthly basis and ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
- On-Call Schedule: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Licensure: Maintain a current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, in good standing.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year supervisory experience and 2 years geriatric experience, with prior assisted living, home health, or long-term care experience preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow-up, and triage, as well as leadership skills to inspire and motivate others.
