Position Overview:
As a Project Engineer, you will collaborate with the team to plan, develop, coordinate, and oversee onsite construction engineering activities for Heavy Highway and bridge projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project engineering and associated personnel functions and activities, including personnel planning, administration, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.

- Ensure compliance of project engineering activities with company and contract requirements while supporting the overall construction schedule (using Primavera P6).


- Provide technical support for construction efforts, which includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of designs, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, and conducting contractibility reviews.


- Develop, implement, and manage project engineering procedures and other work-controlling documents, such as submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, and processing payments for subcontractors, vendors, and owner pay requests.

- Represent the company, project, and/or department during meetings with architects/engineers, clients, and project management.

- Collaborate with all onsite departments as necessary to resolve issues and ensure construction quality in support of the overall project schedule.

- Oversee all pre-construction services, design-build services, and business development activities for the project.

- Execute additional tasks as directed by your supervisor.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred, or equivalent technical training and relevant experience.

- A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction engineering is required.

- Experience with bridge projects is highly advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:


- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, and standards, along with a comprehensive understanding of the interrelationships between various functional units.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage a diverse team.

- Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred but not mandatory.
