Jewish Community Outreach Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Camper Family Liaison Specialist to join our team at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Rochester INC. This is a full-time, year-round position that requires excellent project management and customer service skills.
Job Summary:
- Recruit and retain campers through effective year-round communication with parents and families.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment strategy to meet annual goals.
- Manage all aspects of camper enrollment, including financial aid and paperwork submission.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for camper families and provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Year-Round Recruitment:
- Ensure CSL meets annual camper recruitment goals through existing camper retention and new camper recruitment.
- Drive year-round retention events for campers and families, including developing a follow-up strategy.
- Represent CSL at new camper recruitment events, prepare materials, and follow up with leads.
- Communications:
- Develop and implement a multi-faceted communications plan for enrolled and prospective camp families.
- Provide a positive, professional presence in all communications, including phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Monitor and respond to emails, screen and route phone calls and mail, and track communication to ensure timely follow-up.
- CampMinder and Enrollment:
- Become an expert on CampMinder, ensuring data is up-to-date and generating reports to track recruitment goals.
- Develop and execute a plan to ensure all families complete required forms, applications, and documents.
- Serve as the departmental point of contact for Finance, providing reporting and overseeing payment collection processes.
- Summer Responsibilities:
- Serve as part of the Camper Care and Health Center teams, acting as liaison between those teams and camp families.
- Continue to be the primary point of contact for camper families, answering parent emails and requests, and managing office staff.
- Coordinate with Media Team and Camp Director to ensure timely delivery of weekly Director Updates and Village Vlogs to all camp parents.
Key Competencies:
- Commitment to the mission and values of Camp Seneca Lake and the JCC.
- Self-starter with experience taking initiative; working independently with minimal supervision as a team player.
- Exercise good judgment in making decisions that pertain to camper and parent requests, recruitment strategy, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Jewish overnight camping or other Jewish youth or experiential education settings preferred.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office and CampMinder.
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience.
