Role Overview
The Legal Case Intake Coordinator is a vital member of our legal team, tasked with the initial assessment and intake of potential litigation cases.

This role also supports the Subpoena Department, ensuring that responses to subpoenas are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
Below is a list of essential duties. On-site responsibilities are marked with a *.
- Facilitate file openings, which includes reviewing escalations from other departments, processing service of process, and handling general correspondence to determine if our department will assume management of the litigation.

- Assist the Subpoena team by collecting documents that respond to subpoena requests, ensuring the accuracy of the information provided.

- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism while managing sensitive client data and legal matters.
- Oversee intake databases or software systems to monitor and manage case intake and status.
- Collaborate with other administrative personnel to ensure a smooth transition of cases from intake to legal representation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
*These core functions are fundamental to the role and must be executed on-site, as they cannot be performed remotely. The Company has determined that an in-person presence is crucial for key aspects of our work, including oversight, training, collaboration, and productivity. Non-essential on-site tasks may still require partial in-person attendance to fulfill the role effectively.
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in a legal intake capacity or a similar role within a law firm or legal department.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures associated with litigation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with other departments and external counsel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

- Experience in Consumer Finance, Mortgage Servicing, or Litigation, with a solid understanding of interpreting legal documents.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
