Position Overview:

The Structural Engineer will take charge of designing, analyzing, and supervising the construction of various structures, ensuring their robustness, stability, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

In this role, you will be pivotal in the planning and execution of diverse construction projects, working closely with architects, contractors, and fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Analysis: Create structural designs for buildings, bridges, and other constructions using suitable materials and methodologies.
  • Conduct thorough calculations to guarantee the safety and longevity of structures.
  • Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SAP2000, and ETABS for structural design and evaluation.

  • Project Management: Oversee structural projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines and budgets.
  • Perform site inspections to track progress and confirm adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including architects, civil engineers, and construction managers, to achieve integrated project outcomes.

  • Technical Duties: Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with structural designs, including seismic, wind, and load considerations.
  • Ensure all designs meet relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., AISC, ACI, Eurocodes).

  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and solutions.
  • Present design proposals and findings to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
  • Maintain effective communication with all project participants to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate structural design with overall project plans.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary project teams to deliver cohesive and functional environments.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and reviews of design calculations and drawings.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Implement sustainable and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:
Support other contracting departments as necessary.
Undertake other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
Strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
Capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently and work effectively in a team setting.
Positive attitude to motivate our team to meet project deadlines.
Ability to handle stressful situations and adapt to ongoing changes.

Education & Experience:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field from an accredited institution. A Master's degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering or a related field, with a proven track record of successful projects showcased through a portfolio. Project Management experience is preferred.

Certifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) license and ability to obtain in the state of Wyoming required.
OSHA 10 or ability to obtain.
Valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions:
Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to accommodate project needs.
May involve both indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Office environment with some fieldwork required for site visits and inspections.
Occasional travel may be necessary for client meetings and project oversight.
