As a Paralegal / Contract Specialist, you will play a vital role within Spring. Your research and analytical skills, combined with your communication abilities and organizational talents, will be essential in managing processes and addressing the growing legal requirements of our educational institutions and corporate functions. You will collaborate closely with operations, educational, and administrative teams to fulfill this mission. A business-friendly and highly cooperative approach is essential, as you will be expected to provide practical and innovative solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, consistently delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail. Your contributions will be significant in supporting Spring's ongoing expansion as the largest PreK-12 private school network in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily support to the legal team and internal stakeholders regarding contract reviews, policy guidance, training, and other legal issues.
  • Utilize enterprise legal management (ELM) systems to effectively manage the receipt, review, and prioritization of contract requests, while offering comprehensive legal support.
  • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle process, including the independent drafting, reviewing, and finalizing of various commercial and vendor agreements.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of contract structures and the ability to identify specific provisions within contracts.
  • Assist in maintaining ELM systems while proactively identifying solutions to existing inefficiencies or user challenges.
  • Propose innovative approaches to facilitate ongoing improvements to templates, policies, procedures, and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, paralegal certification, or relevant experience in legal and/or educational management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and task-oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize a significant workload.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency or eagerness to quickly learn ELM software/solutions (e.g., Agiloft, LegalTracker, LawVu, etc.) and support both backend and user experience.
  • Creative thinker with a focus on building scalable processes.
  • High level of personal integrity.
  • A sense of humor, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
