Position Overview:
Arrowroot Capital is seeking a dedicated Associate based in Miami, possessing 1-3 years of relevant experience in technology investment banking or growth equity. This role is crucial for our expanding team, where the selected candidate will be responsible for sourcing and executing new investment opportunities while collaborating closely with the management teams of our portfolio companies alongside the firm's Partners.
The Associate will be expected to lead a significant portion of the due diligence process internally and adeptly manage complex situations and processes. This position typically spans two years, with high-performing Associates having the opportunity to advance to a partner track role.
The successful candidate will work in tandem with management teams at portfolio companies to enhance value through effective sales and marketing strategies, organic growth initiatives, and strategic acquisitions. This role will also involve leading various aspects of the transaction process, including sourcing, negotiating, structuring deals, conducting industry research, drafting investment memoranda, and supporting post-acquisition strategic efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting investment memoranda and summarizing business plans
- Conducting research on investment targets' competitive landscape, market size, and industry trends
- Overseeing third-party due diligence providers, including legal, accounting, and industry-specific consultants
- Performing detailed financial analysis and modeling
- Assisting with legal documentation and addressing post-closing legal matters
- Identifying actionable investment opportunities
- Promoting the firm to both internal and external stakeholders
- Executing and evaluating post-acquisition value creation strategies
- Mentoring and managing Associates and Analysts
Qualifications:
- 1-4 years of total experience, with a strong academic background and investment expertise
- Experience in the software sector is preferred
- Connection to the Miami area is advantageous
- Demonstrated excellence in qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, financial understanding, financial modeling, business judgment, and meticulous attention to detail
- A high degree of intellectual curiosity, proactive approach, and a desire to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative team player with a proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- High integrity with strong professional references
