Job Summary

Niles Community Schools is seeking a highly qualified Math and Science Teacher to join our team at Niles High School/Niles New Tech. As a key member of our educational community, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction to students in grades 6-12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Plan and implement lesson plans that align with the Board of Education's adopted curriculum, incorporating a range of teaching methods to cater to diverse student needs.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student progress, maintaining accurate and complete records as required by law and district policies.
  • Classroom Management: Establish clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects, communicating these goals to students and ensuring a productive learning environment.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with best practices in education, participating in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with curriculum changes.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
  • Certification in Biology (DA) 6-12 or Integrated Science (DI) 6-12.
