This industry leader with over 100 years of experience is looking for a self-driven and creative Control Systems Engineer to join and help improve one of their most critical sites establishing their controls and automation vision and strategy.

This position demands a strong understanding of constructing long-term improvement plans, managing and providing updates to the site's SCADA system and automation procedures, and help running larger capital projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain instrumentation, automation, and control systems using standard engineering techniques.
  • Develop and modify PLC and HMI applications, interfaces, and embedded controls.
  • Participate in the setup and commissioning of new processes and upgrades.
  • Assist the maintenance department in troubleshooting and resolving electrical and control issues.
  • Recommend improvements for operational safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automation systems and procedures.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to strategize system upgrades.
  • Ensure the safety of control systems and equipment.
  • Develop and help improve the site's automation systems and procedures.
  • Create and improve PLC and HMI applications.
  • Direct the advancement of the site's SCADA environment.
  • Roll out corporate initiatives and direct relevant CAPEX projects from start to finish.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or comparable experience.
  • Market knowledge of relevant automation, controls, and engineering trends and improvements.
  • Understanding of programming and ladder logic.
