Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Transport Security Specialist to join our team. As an Armed Transport Security Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering or picking up and reconciling valuable assets at customer locations, maintaining radio communication with the vehicle crew and dispatch personnel, and ensuring the highest degree of security and control of the customer shipment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver or pick up and reconcile valuable assets: Safely transport and reconcile valuable assets at customer locations, ensuring accurate and secure transactions.
- Maintain radio communication: Communicate with the vehicle crew and dispatch personnel to ensure a secure and efficient transaction process.
- Ensure security and control: Maintain the highest degree of security and control of the customer shipment at all times, preventing any potential security breaches or losses.
- Provide excellent customer service: Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while performing daily customer interactions, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
- Monitor and report incidents: Remain alert and prepared at all times, monitoring for any potential security threats or incidents, and reporting them to the appropriate authorities.
- Reconcile customer deposits and receipts: Reconcile customer deposits and receipts of all valuable assets handled throughout the daily scheduled run, ensuring accurate and secure transactions.
- Provide ATM services: Responsible for providing service to customers' ATMs, including loading/unloading of currency, changing of receipt paper, and clearing of paper jams/debris as needed.
- Observe security and safety procedures: Observe and adhere to all security and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
- Work flexible hours: Able to work weekends, holidays, and/or extended hours as required by the business.
- Perform other duties: Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience in at least one of the following: Messenger/Courier positions, face-to-face customer service positions, security experience, military experience, or protective services experience.
- Valid driver's license: Possess a valid driver's license and satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements.
- Age: Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Firearms permit: Possess a valid firearms permit or ability to pass applicable firearms licensing requirements.
- Guard card: Possess a valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses.
- Lifting ability: Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Previous experience: Previous armored car messenger experience.
- Math skills: Basic math skills.
- Education: High School diploma or GED.
- Excellent ethics and integrity: Demonstrate excellent ethics and integrity in all aspects of the job.
- Attention to detail: Maintain high attention to detail, ensuring accurate and secure transactions.
- Collaborative work style: Demonstrate a collaborative work style, working effectively with the vehicle crew and dispatch personnel.
- Excellent customer service: Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently: Able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
