Veterinary Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team at Petco Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional veterinary care to our patients and delivering outstanding customer service to their owners.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent veterinary care to patients, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and performing laboratory tests.
- Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing education and support on pet care and health.
- Participate in the training and development of new staff members.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team environment, fostering cohesion and motivation among hospital partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in veterinary technology or a related field preferred.
- Current certification as a veterinary technician or registered veterinary technician (RVT) required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, veterinarians, and other hospital staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting.
