Optum House Calls Clinician Opportunity

Optum is seeking a skilled NP or PA to join our House Calls team in King County, WA. As a member of our integrated medical team, you will provide annual clinical assessments to patients in the comfort of their homes.

This preventive care helps identify and reduce health risks for patients, coordinating appropriate follow-up care to improve health and well-being.

As a House Calls Clinician, you will have the ability to achieve work-life balance with flexible scheduling and no on-call, weekends, or holidays required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home assessments, including evaluations of past medical history, review of systems, medication reconciliation, vital signs, and comprehensive physical exams
  • Perform evidence-based practice screenings, including point-of-care testing (as appropriate)
  • Identify diagnoses to inform care management and active medical management
  • Communicate findings to inform members' primary care physicians of potential gaps in care
  • Travel up to 85%

Requirements:

  • Active NP or PA license or ability to obtain by start date
  • Active national NP or PA certification or ability to obtain national certification in state of assignment
  • Ability to complete physical requirements of the job, including lifting a 30-pound bag and navigating stairs and dwelling conditions
  • Reliable transportation for home visit assessments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • May be requested to obtain additional licensure in other geographic areas
  • 1+ years of clinical experience in their highest level of education, clinical setting
  • Experience in gerontology, cardiology, internal medicine, or endocrinology
  • Home health care or home visit experience

Washington Residents Only:

The hourly range for this role is $58.34 to $91.54 per hour. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
