The Manufacturing Engineering Leader will manage and synchronize the daily functions of a highly skilled engineering team, ensuring that the organization's objectives and targets are achieved. Experience in a manufacturing setting is essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory.

· A Master's degree is highly regarded.

· A minimum of eight years of relevant experience is required.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

The candidate MUST possess the following:

· Strong grasp of applied mathematics and physics.

· Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.

· Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manufacturing Engineering Leader is entrusted with the following duties:

· Directs and integrates various engineering functions and operations, including quality assurance, testing, production, and R&D for both new and existing product lines.

· Facilitates effective communication between clients/customers and engineers, ensuring that specifications, budgets, and timelines are clearly articulated and understood.

· Acts as project manager for several initiatives, developing timelines and cost estimates, organizing collaborative meetings, and ensuring adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.

· Reviews work and projects for technical precision.

· Establishes, implements, and maintains administrative policies, procedures, and standards.

· Prepares and manages the departmental budget.

· Negotiates contracts with external vendors.

· Stays informed about new trends, developments, technologies, materials, and best practices; applies this knowledge to enhance product lines and production efficiency.

· Performs additional duties as assigned.

· Ensures technical accuracy in team outputs.

· Coordinates work with other managers and staff.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:

· Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new engineering personnel.

· Oversees the daily operations of the department.

· Provides timely and constructive performance evaluations.

TYPICAL WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Operates in an ESD manufacturing environment.
  • May lift/carry/push/pull up to 20 lbs.
  • Involves stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching overhead.
  • This role may require extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.

· Occasional travel may be required.
