Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer - Spacecraft Component Development

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at eSpace, a leading innovator in space-based communications and IoT solutions. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated manufacturing systems for spacecraft components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated manufacturing systems for spacecraft components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement 'Design for X' methodologies
  • Manage characterization, qualification, and acceptance testing of in-house materials, processes, and machine prototyping
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to enhance first pass yield, cycle time reduction, product reliability, capacity enhancement, and cost reduction
  • Provide technical support for analyzing and/or performing failure analysis for discrepant production components, assemblies, and field returns

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
  • 3-7 years of relevant professional experience
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication tools, such as drill presses, power saws, soldering irons, vacuum chambers, etc.
  • Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies, such as LEAN and Six Sigma
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time
