Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner II to join our team at Dignity Health Mercy General Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for administering a full range of respiratory care modalities in all patient care areas, including mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Administer respiratory care modalities, including mechanical ventilation, blood gas analysis, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Provide quality respiratory care services, including routine and complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to evaluate, stabilize, prevent, or remedy pulmonary abnormalities.
  • Act as a clinical resource person to the department and hospital patient care team, providing education to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
  • Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory therapy program.
  • Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
  • Two years of acute care experience, with one year of critical care experience.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current California Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license.
