Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide high-quality patient care in our respiratory care department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in respiratory therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform therapeutic, diagnostic, and emergency respiratory care procedures
  • Provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with respiratory insufficiencies or abnormalities
  • Exercise sound judgment and developed clinical skills to provide input to and implement the patient's plan of care
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a two-year respiratory care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC)
  • CA Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) within 90 days
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) if required at the entity for the role
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy principles, procedures, views, and equipment
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions
  • Capable of performing routine or emergency respiratory care
  • Well-developed time management and organizational skills
  • General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), electronic health records (EHR), and EPIC
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a 36-hour workweek. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication skills.
