Job Title: House Support Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a House Support Specialist to join our team at the Cooperative for Human Services, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to individuals with intellectual and other related disabilities in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in meal planning and preparation for assigned residential programs.
- Interact with staff and individuals before, during, and after meal times.
- Clean the kitchen and dining areas after meals as needed.
- Advocate on behalf of each person served.
- Communicate regularly with the Program Director, Program Coordinator, and Division Manager.
- Understand and respect the dietary restrictions of those served.
- Assist in creating a home environment that reflects the individual's preferences and personality.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of those served.
- Act as a positive role model in dress, hygiene, demeanor, and behavior.
- Uphold and comply with all safety programs and policies.
Requirements:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
- Caregiving experience (Preferred)
- English language proficiency (Required)
Work Location: In person (Must have a valid MA, NH, or RI driver's license)
