Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Stroke Nurse Practitioner to join our team at U of L Physicians. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your clinical expertise and passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating quality, evidence-based patient care while promoting efficiency and effective patient outcomes. As a clinical expert in the Stroke Service Line, you will serve as a role model to the clinical/medical staff and ancillary services.

You will work collaboratively with physicians to provide cost-effective care, focusing on clinical practice, research, education, and leadership activities. Responsibilities include neurological assessment, patient management, communication within the stroke team, and implementing patient plans of care.

Requirements
  • Masters of Nursing degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum experience as APRN of one (1) year
  • Current licensure in state of Kentucky as an APRN
  • National certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner, Emergency Nurse Practitioner, Family Nurse Practitioner, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
  • Current DEA certificate without restriction
Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $110,000 per year
