Physician Leadership Position

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician Leader to join our team at BrightSpring Health Services.
The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in family medicine, internal medicine or geriatrics, with a minimum of two years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare. A graduate degree from an accredited school of medicine is required, as well as board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. They will be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, and have a strong commitment to promoting the vision and mission of BrightSpring Health Services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality complex and geriatric care to residents and patients across settings, partnering with non-physician practitioners and other interprofessional team members.
- Collaborate with facility leadership teams, nurse practitioners/physician assistants, patients, and families to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
- Assume collaborating physician duties for up to 15 nurse practitioners and physician assistants, supporting them in their clinical roles and ensuring they meet state regulatory parameters.
- Audit up to 10% of practitioner medical orders and/or documentation monthly, ensuring compliance with state and regional regulatory frameworks.
- Participate in company frontline/backup call processes, responding promptly to acute changes of condition to prevent avoidable hospital transfers or meet other clinical needs.
- Maintain a focus on quality outcomes, including care path compliance and productivity, prevention of avoidable transfers, decrease in polypharmacy, and costs of care.
- Attend required trainings and meetings as mandated by the CMO or other leaders to ensure best care delivery by the company.
Requirements:
- Graduate degree from an accredited school of medicine
- Two or more years of administrative leadership experience in healthcare
- Clinical medical experience of seven years or more preferred
- Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatrics; qualification in Geriatrics preferred
- Active unrestricted licensure to practice in state of employment
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration registration
Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
