Join Self Enhancement, Inc. in making a difference in the lives of families and children in need. As a Housing Stability Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing emergency housing assistance and navigating the housing system to help families achieve stability and self-sufficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide short-term intensive case management to families in crisis, focusing on emergency housing assistance and housing system navigation.
  • Conduct immediate assessments of housing needs and develop client-specific plans to address specific housing needs and mitigate barriers to permanent and stable housing.
  • Collaborate with Department of Human Services (DHS) staff and referred families to attend Child Safety and Family Decision Meetings and other case planning discussions.
  • Connect clients with community programs that increase their capacity to rent, establish and utilize networks within the housing system, and provide personal skills training to increase client capacity to maintain stable housing.
  • Prepare written weekly reports reviewing progress of families in housing and stability services and coordinate services with other social service agencies.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Services or three years' experience working with families and children.
  • Highly skilled individual with needs assessment and case management experience, knowledge of crisis, cognitive, and behavioral interventions, and ability to navigate the housing system in Multnomah County.
  • Excellent writing skills, highly organized, and self-motivated with the ability to immediately motivate and connect with parents successfully.
  • Must have a driver's license, insurance, and own reliable transportation.
