Aerospace Quality Assurance Inspector

As an Aerospace Quality Assurance Inspector, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and integrity of aircraft operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all aircraft undergoing maintenance, repair, and modifications adhere to approved technical specifications and are safe for flight.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft to verify compliance with FAA regulations, governmental standards, and company specifications.
* Assess the functionality and operational integrity of various aircraft systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and emergency systems.
* Execute pre-flight and post-flight inspections in line with established protocols for aircraft that have been previously tested in flight.
* Evaluate Critical Characteristics (CC) as part of the Sikorsky Flight Safety Parts Program.
* Perform receiving inspections on all materials to ensure compliance before installation on aircraft.
* Authorize aircraft for flight operations after comprehensive inspections.
* Review any adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to the aircraft.
* Carry out internal audits to ensure quality assurance in accordance with company processes and technical documentation.
* Provide quality inspection support to the Sikorsky FAA Repair Station and associated facilities as needed.
* Be prepared for overtime and frequent travel, both domestically and internationally.
Qualifications:
* Extensive knowledge and experience in specialized functions related to aircraft quality assurance.
* Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to complex issues and situations.
* Possession of an FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with significant experience on Sikorsky rotary wing aircraft or large multi-engine helicopters, including 3-5 years specifically as a Quality Inspector.
* Comfortable working in proximity to live aircraft.
* Must meet the minimum criteria for holding a Sikorsky Flight Safety Certification.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Experience as an AS9100 QMS Internal Auditor.
- Proficiency in leading Root Cause Analysis and implementing Corrective Actions.
- Skilled in drafting processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with Sikorsky Models S61, SH3H, S76, S92, UH60A/L/M, S70i, S70M.
- Strong understanding of FAA regulations, specifically 14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65, & 14.
- Experience in FAA 145 Repair Station operations.
- Knowledge of Component Overhaul & Repair processes.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Certification as a Sikorsky Flight Safety Parts Inspector.
Work Environment:
This role requires onsite presence at a designated facility, with a standard 40-hour work week that may include alternative scheduling options for added flexibility.
