Community Support Specialist

We are looking for a dedicated Community Support Specialist to join our team at the Disabilities Board of Charleston County. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with developmental and related disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community-based and center-based activities that promote socialization, recreation, and development.
- Foster meaningful relationships with clients and their families, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and activity participation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure comprehensive service delivery and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum one year of experience in a day program setting, supporting individuals with developmental and/or related disabilities.
- Strong understanding of regulations and guidelines governing disability support services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated annual salary range of $45,000 - $60,000, depending on qualifications and location.
