Role Overview

We are in search of a strategic and innovative Director of Product Optimization to lead our consumer flash division. This position is dedicated to driving cost efficiency within our product offerings and ensuring optimal utilization and planning of NAND Nodal within our consumer product range. The ideal candidate will adopt a design-to-value (DtV) strategy to meet these objectives, guaranteeing effective cost structures and resource allocation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cost Efficiency:

Spearhead and oversee the comprehensive cost efficiency initiatives for consumer flash products. Formulate and execute strategies aimed at reducing expenses across the product spectrum. Collaborate with product management, engineering, commodity management, and finance teams to meet cost objectives. Establish and manage cost oversight programs, ensuring their effective and efficient implementation. Evaluate program outcomes and promote continuous enhancements.

NAND Nodal Utilization and Strategy:

Assist in the integration and strategizing of NAND Nodal transitions to enhance performance and cost. Work in tandem with memory planning and category product teams to incorporate optimized NAND nodes into product designs. Assess and comprehend the implications of NAND memory node transitions on cost and performance.

Design to Value (DtV):

Provide strategic direction and oversight for DtV initiatives, ensuring the achievement of DtV objectives across business units. Develop roadmaps and take responsibility for DtV goals and timelines. Communicate DtV priorities, methodologies, and progress across cross-functional teams. Foster relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable approach to DtV. Drive value-cost trade-offs by engaging the steering committee on recommendations and supporting data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Demonstrated experience in cost program management or finance, ideally within the consumer electronics sector. Strong grasp of bill of materials (BOM) and cost accounting frameworks. Exceptional cross-functional collaboration abilities and the capacity to lead and influence teams. Familiarity with NAND memory node transitions and their effects on cost and performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. Capability to establish and manage cost breakdown and competitive analysis initiatives. Outstanding communication skills, adept at presenting cost-related data and insights clearly. Proven track record in driving substantial cost efficiency projects with measurable outcomes.
