Position Overview
We are in search of a strategic and dynamic Head of Product Cost Efficiency to lead our consumer flash division. This position emphasizes driving cost efficiency within our product offerings and ensuring optimal usage and planning of NAND nodes in our consumer product lineup. The ideal candidate will adopt a design-to-value (DtV) methodology to meet these objectives, ensuring effective cost structures and resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Efficiency Initiatives:
Oversee and direct the comprehensive cost efficiency initiatives for consumer flash products. Formulate and execute strategies aimed at cost reduction across the product range. Collaborate with product management, engineering, commodity management, and finance teams to meet cost objectives. Establish and manage cost oversight programs, ensuring their effective execution. Track program outcomes and promote continuous enhancements.NAND Node Integration and Strategy:
Assist in the integration and strategic planning of NAND node transitions to maximize performance and cost efficiency. Collaborate closely with memory planning and category product teams to incorporate optimized NAND nodes into product designs. Evaluate and comprehend the implications of NAND memory node transitions on cost and performance.Design to Value (DtV) Leadership:
Provide strategic direction for DtV initiatives, ensuring the achievement of DtV objectives across business units. Develop roadmaps and take responsibility for DtV goals and timelines. Communicate DtV priorities, processes, and progress to cross-functional teams. Cultivate relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and sustainable approach to DtV. Facilitate value-cost tradeoffs by engaging the steering committee on recommendations and supporting data-driven decisions.Required Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in cost program management or finance, ideally within the consumer electronics sector. Strong grasp of bill of materials (BOM) and cost accounting frameworks. Excellent skills in cross-functional collaboration and the ability to lead and influence teams. Familiarity with NAND memory node transitions and their effects on cost and performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail. Capability to establish and manage cost analysis and competitive assessment programs. Outstanding communication skills, adept at presenting cost-related data and insights effectively. Proven track record in executing significant cost efficiency initiatives with measurable outcomes.Competencies:
