Position Overview
The Client Relationship Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and nurturing client relationships by proactively addressing client needs and inquiries. This includes conducting thorough research to ensure that the client's employee benefits program aligns with their financial and organizational objectives, along with overseeing renewal management with insights and guidance from senior team members.
This role also involves expanding the existing portfolio, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the client's operations, and achieving a retention and satisfaction rating of at least 95%.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Service Excellence: Efficiently manage the client service cycle, ensuring adherence to timelines and renewal deadlines.
- Account Retention and Development: Prepare and draft proposals, conduct quote comparisons, and perform program benchmarking and demographic analyses. Analyze claims utilization data, conduct financial underwriting reviews, and generate cost projection reports. Provide additional resources to clients as necessary.
- Market Renewal and New Coverage: Develop coverage specifications, analyze quotes from carriers, negotiate terms, and present coverage analyses. Review policy coverage to identify cross-selling opportunities and additional revenue streams.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate a deep understanding of client businesses, guiding them through the objective-setting process. Analyze data to draw actionable conclusions and make informed recommendations.
- Professional Development: Stay informed on technical and professional standards by participating in company-sponsored and industry educational activities, including webinars and conferences.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all client services adhere to professional service standards and regulatory requirements, achieving a minimum rating of 90% in audits.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with internal and external stakeholders, demonstrating a positive attitude and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Risk Management, Analytics, or a related field is preferred; relevant industry experience may substitute for formal education.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in employee benefits management for medium-sized accounts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent organizational skills and financial analysis capabilities.
- Proficiency in EPIC agency management system and underwriting requirements.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
