Job Summary

Northwell Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a critical role in providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for physician visits and administer laboratory tests
  • Assist in coordinating patient care and organizing clinic charts
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to implement patient care plans
  • Perform measurement and screening procedures, including height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature
  • Record and plot findings on patient charts
  • Collect and process blood and urine specimens
  • Assist with special procedures and examinations
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of examination rooms
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a 6-12 month Medical Assistant program
  • Prior experience and demonstrated competence as a Medical Assistant
  • Typing 30 wpm
  • Basic mathematical aptitude
  • Ability to communicate effectively
