**Job Title:** Medical Office Assistant

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our team at Northwell Health. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our healthcare team, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical offices.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care
* Prepare patients for physician examinations
* Administer and record laboratory tests
* Assist in coordinating patient needs, including preparing and organizing patient clinic charts
* Perform measurement and screening procedures, including height, weight, blood pressure, and temperature
* Collect blood and urine specimens, and assist with special procedures
* Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of examination rooms
* Record data collected for procedures performed
* Perform other administrative tasks as required

**Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Completion of a six-month to one-year course in an accredited Medical Assistant program
* Prior experience and demonstrated competence as a medical assistant
* Typing 30 wpm, required
* Basic mathematical aptitude, desirable
* Ability to communicate effectively
