About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Technology Consultant to join our team at FedEx Supply Chain. As a key member of our IT organization, you will be responsible for managing and delivering technical services to our customers, ensuring seamless integration with our systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee customer programs, projects, and support activities, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Partner with internal and external customers, corporate IT teams, and business partners to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Provide technical leadership and direction to onsite and remote IT teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Manage software development, production support, and systematic reporting, including planning, analysis, and design of application enhancements and tools.
  • Monitor production support processes and activities, identifying defects and resolving issues to meet service levels.
  • Review and monitor systematic reporting tools, ensuring accurate and timely billing claims activities.
  • Maintain comprehensive action item logs and IT metrics packages to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with business owners as a subject matter expert on system capabilities, interfaces, and customer touchpoints.
  • Analyze and interpret data to prepare statistical and analytical reports, gathering and maintaining production and quality audit tracking.
  • Schedule and facilitate IT meetings, providing status updates, issue tracking, and risk management.
  • Contribute to strategic planning activities, aligning with corporate vision, mission, and values.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, with 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • Outgoing, action-oriented self-starter with excellent communication and technical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Working knowledge of supply chain systems, middleware applications, client-server applications, and versioning software.
  • Strong business acumen in operations management and supply chain applications.
  • Experience with Manhattan WMOS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and technical skills, with high proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Use and support of structured processes and techniques.
  • Technical services knowledge and understanding of computing devices, including new product introduction, testing, diagnostics, software installation, and configuration.
  • Extensive systems integration experience with transactional interfaces.
  • Knowledge of reporting services and applications, including TibCo, Spotfire, and Oracle BI.
  • Knowledge and experience in SSAE-16/SSAE18 SOC and IT General Controls.
  • Knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms, including LINUX, Windows, and Oracle relational databases.
Physical and Cognitive Requirements
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret information.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to sit, walk, or stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must possess visual acuity, including close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
