Senior Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at Providence St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula, Montana. As a Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of respiratory disorders.
Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose respiratory disorders in patients, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
- Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans for patients, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and medication management.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, including physicians, nurses, and other respiratory therapists.
- Conduct pulmonary function tests (PFTs) and other diagnostic procedures to evaluate respiratory function.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy from an American Medical Association (AMA)-accredited program.
- Current Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Within 90 days of hire, obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications from the AHA.
- 4 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or 15 years of experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
