Senior Scientist, Biologics Raw Materials Specialist

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Columbia, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to join our Biologics Raw Materials team. This individual will be responsible for testing Raw Materials used in Cell and Gene Therapy applications, ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines. The successful candidate will design, carry out, and perform experiments and procedures, analyze data, and effectively communicate results. Additionally, they will train and mentor junior staff, utilize laboratory information management systems, and adhere to schedules and timelines.
Responsibilities:
- Design and perform experiments and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Establish and validate methods for testing Raw Materials, including HPLC, GC, Amino Acid Analysis, Mass Spectroscopy, and FTIR.
- Analyze data using software such as Empower and communicate results effectively.
- Train and mentor junior staff to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
- Utilize laboratory information management systems to manage data and workflows.
- Adhere to schedules and timelines to ensure timely delivery of results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or biology and 5 years of experience working in a cGMP laboratory OR Master's degree and 3 years of experience working in a cGMP laboratory OR PhD and 1+ years of experience working in a cGMP laboratory
- Industrial experience with method establishment and cGMP validations is highly desirable.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction or sponsorship.
- Previous experience working in a CRO/CDMO adhering to cGMP regulations.
- Ability to conduct work efficiently, analyze data to ensure accuracy, and report quality data.
- Good problem-solving, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates within a commutable distance of Columbia, MO are encouraged to apply.
