Position Summary
The Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the community. This includes groundskeeping, general maintenance, and custodial responsibilities for property amenities, building exteriors, leasing offices, parking areas, apartments, equipment, and all shared spaces.
The Porter will also support other team members as needed to ensure the community is managed and maintained safely, professionally, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
The primary duties of the Porter involve ensuring the community's grounds are clean and well-maintained to enhance curb appeal and provide high-quality living conditions for residents.
While this description covers the main responsibilities, additional tasks may arise as needed.
Main responsibilities include:
- Regularly walking the community to ensure cleanliness and adherence to HSL standards
- Assisting with various physical and safety-related tasks, such as:
- Removing litter, trash, debris, and pet waste from the grounds
- Performing landscaping and groundskeeping duties
- Handling heavy items as necessary
- Conducting clean-up duties in vacated apartments
- Maintaining cleanliness in storage areas
- Performing painting tasks and managing paint supplies
- Maintaining cleanliness in the following areas:
- Pool area
- Laundry facilities
- Leasing office
- Pet areas
- Dumpster zones
- Recreational spaces
- Walkways and parking lots
- Maintenance and storage areas
- All common areas
- Completing any additional tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Community Director
Qualifications
- Ability to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting
- Team-oriented with a willingness to take direction
- Strong work ethic with the capacity to manage multiple tasks
- Self-motivated and proactive, eager to learn new skills
- Effective communication skills with residents and team members
- Fluency in English, with additional language skills being a plus
Job Requirements
- Flexible 40-hour work week, including weekends as needed
- One year of relevant experience in a physically demanding role preferred
- Background check and pre-employment drug screening required
- Reliable transportation for job-related tasks
